On April 3rd, delegation of New South Wales police led by Nguyen Thai Luc, Senior investigator, Commander of the investigating unit under the Police Department for Crime Prevention visited and worked at the PPA. Receiving and working with the delegation was Major General, Prof. Dr Nguyen Van Canh, Deputy Director of the PPA , representative of leadership of the International Cooperation Department (MPS) and functional units within the PPA.
At the working session, New South Wales delegation was introduced tradition of foundation and development of the PPA until now; reported situation of the PPA’s training, education and science research last time as well as prospect of international cooperation in the coming time. Also, both sides focused on discussing cooperation on training and enhancing capacity of police officer between the PPA and the Norwegian police, especially exchanging police officers for joining in short-time training course on high-tech crime, money laundering and corruption, etc as well as exchanging experiences in holding seminars on crime prevention.

The visit of the New South Wales police delegation was successful, contributed to enhancing cooperative relationship between local police force within both countries. This is also occasion for New South Wales police to find more about criminal law system in Vietnam as well as survey Asian culture, in which is Vietnamese culture, in order to fulfill duty of crime prevention of police force in multi-cultural environment as Australia.
