PPA delegation visits Truong Sa Island District
The PPA delegation was attending cultural exchange with Trương Sa officers and soldiers

Despite unfavorable weather with the northeast monsoon, tropical low pressure, heavy sea at the level 5-6, and being seasick, the officers and students overcame difficulties to visit and present gifts and exchange with the army and the people at the Trương Sa Islands, the Central London Reef, West London Reef, Vinh Phan, and Thuyen Chai...

Overcoming long way with the unfavorable weather conditions, the delegation went to the Truong Sa Island District on April 4th, 2011



The gifts including multifunction fax machine, radio, electrically charged lights, hammock, books, candy were given to officers and soldiers protecting the island day and night, the staffs guarding lighthouses, aquaculture, and the DK1 Rig as well as those living on the island.

When visiting the island, the delegation was touched by the immense sacrifice of officers, soldiers, staffs and people on Truong Sa Island who have not been afraid of difficulties and hardships, day and night ready to fight for sovereignty of Vietnam seas and islands. On behalf of the delegation, Colonel, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huy Thuat gave compliment of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors and all officers and students of the PPA to the army and the people on Truong Sa Island District, expressed his belief in the spirit of the Truong Sa army and people’s readiness for fighting and laying down to firmly protect sovereignty of the Vietnam seas and islands.







Delegation visited and gave gifts to some households living on the island



After nearly ten days of visiting the army and the people on the Truong Sa Island District, the PPA delegation finished well its proposed content and programs. In a meeting to draw experience, directors of the PPA decided to award certificates of merit to Marine Police Region 3 and the Marine Police Vessel 4031 because these units created good conditions for the PPA delegation to fulfill its mission.
