New contributions of the thesis:
The thesis is the first comprehensive research on theory and practice of prevention of motorcycle robbery according to functions of the Criminal Police of Lao People’s Democratic Republic from the perspective of criminology and crime prevention.
1. The thesis researches and clarifies the theory of prevention of motorcycle robbery according to functions of the Criminal Police such as: concepts, position, roles, characteristics of the prevention activities; legal basis, contents, measures of prevention; subjects and coordination between agencies in prevention of motorcycle robbery.
2. The thesis analyzes and evaluates current situation related to motorcycle robbery throughout the country, current operation and coordination of the Criminal Police of Lao People’s Democratic Republic in prevention of motorcycle robbery; the thesis evaluates and gives comments on advantages, disadvantages, causes of limitations and shortcomings in the prevention of motorcycle robbery of the Criminal Police of Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
3. The thesis provides forecasts and a system of solutions that enhance the effectiveness of prevention of motorcycle robbery according to functions of the Criminal Police of Lao People’s Democratic Republic and contribute to ensure social order and safety.
