Recently, scientists in the Public Security sector have paid much attention to researching, reviewing and publicizing many scientific works on the reconnaissance work of the People's Public Security force in the form of articles, scientific themes, summary reports, monograph books and professional textbooks in the People's Public Security training institutions. The fact shows that it is necessary to systematically study and collect the scientific works on the reconnaissance operations of the People's Public Security, contribute to perfecting the reconnaissance profession theory and raising the effectiveness of the fight against hostile forces and criminals to protect security and order.
In order to serve the staff training of the People's Public Security, modernize the scientific knowledge, including the knowledge of reconnaissance science, PPA organized the compilation of the book set "Vietnamese Reconnaissance Science" to better serve the needs of training, study and research to improve the qualifications of Public Security officers in the current situation.
The Book set consists of 3 volumes:
Volume 1: General Theories of Reconnaissance Science.
Volume 2: Method and Tactics of Reconnaissance Operations.
Volume 3: Reconnaissance Activities in Anti-Crime.
The books was compiled and published by PPA under the direction of General, Prof. Dr. Tran Dai Quang, Member of Politburo, Minister of Public Security and Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of PPA as Editor-in-Chief.
This is the first full books in the field of reconnaissance science in Vietnam. The books has inherited the achievements of graduate and postgraduate training on Criminology and Crime Investigation, Reconnaissance Investigation of PPA. The contents of the books have references from the documents of scientists, authors at home and abroad. However, this is a wide field of science, it is inevitably not to avoid the limitations, shortcomings. We sincerely hope to receive the comments of scientists, readers for the later edition better.
