On April 11th, 2019, the PPA held the Closing Ceremony of the Pilot Training Courses on Human Trafficking Investigation for investigators.
The ceremony had the presence of the international delegates: Mr. Stephen Lysaght - Deputy Head of Mission, British Embassy Hanoi, Mr. Gerry McGowan - International Liaison Officer - UK National Crime Agency (NCA). On the side of the PPA, there was Major General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President and the leaders of functional departments.
Under the permission of the Minister of Public Security, from February 2019 to April 2019, the PPA collaborated with the British Embassy Hanoi to implement the Project on compiling a set of documents for Investigators in the fields of human trafficking. The set of documents is divided into 4 parts, in which: Part 1 includes knowledge for Investigators, part 2 is for managers, part 3 and part 4 are for lecturers teaching about human trafficking crime. After the compilation, the two agencies have jointly organized the training courses to assess the quality of the documents, including the Training Course for the PPA’s lecturers and the Training Course for students of B2-TC30 class.
Major General Dang Xuan Khang assessed that the significant training courses contributed to improving the capacity of the officers, lecturers and students of the PPA in teaching and studying the knowledge relating to prevent and combat human trafficking. It also improved the efficiency of British-Vietnam cooperation in detecting, investigating, preventing and protecting victims of this dangerous crime.

As for the British Embassy Hanoi, the Deputy Head of Mission Stephen Lysaght expected that the two sides would continue to strengthen the cooperation in the fight against transnational organized crimes in general and human trafficking in particular. In addition, he also expressed the desire to coordinate with the PPA to organize more intensive training courses for local police officers working at provinces that have complicated situation on human trafficking such as: Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Quang Binh.

On behalf of the Directorates of the PPA, the Vice President of the Academy wished to continue receiving the supports of the British Embassy Hanoi in cooperating in training and raising capacity for officers, lecturers and students of the PPA in fighting with other types of crimes by the following activities: jointly organizing the workshops, compiling documents and training on prevention and combat of transnational organized crimes, cybercrimes, child sexual abuse and other matters of mutual concern.
