On August 10th, 2018, the PPA held the closing ceremony of the training course on transnational crimes prevention for officers of the Interior Ministry of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The three-month training course is one of the components under the annual cooperation plan between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Cambodian Ministry of Interior.
The ceremony had the presence of Mr. Op Sophy, Cultural Counselor of the Embassy of Cambodia in Vietnam; Mr. Chia Sambath, First Secretary in charge of Consular Affairs Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Vietnam; Major General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Nhat, Vice President of the PPA; representatives of the PPA’s functional units and 30 trainees of the course.
During the three-month training course, the experienced lecturers of the PPA have provided lectures on various topics relating to transnational crimes and transnational crimes prevention; such as the professional scouting activities in the fight against transnational crimes; the international cooperation in transnational crimes prevention.
During the course, the trainees were provided field visits to the local police departments. These visits helped trainees to learn about the country and the people of Vietnam and especially the defense of national security, ensuring the social order and safety in Vietnam.

At the ceremony, Major General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Nhat - Vice President of the PPA highly appreciated the learning spirit of the Cambodian trainees. The Vice President of the Academy emphasized that the success of this course would contribute to strengthen the cooperation in education and training between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Interior Ministry of Cambodia as well as the cooperation between the trainees and the functional units inside and outside the PPA.

At the event, the representative of the trainees expressed the thankfulness to the PPA’s Directorate, Departments and Divisions for the support to the trainees, facilitating the successfully completion of the course. On behalf of all trainees, he promised to creatively apply the knowledge gained from the course in the practice of crime prevention and suppression in Cambodia.
