On March 14th 2019, Mr. Mark Bishop - Regional Director and the delegation of National Crime Agency (NCA) had a working visit to the People’s Police Academy (PPA). Major General, Prof. Dr. Tran Minh Huong, President of PPA welcomed and met with the delegation. Attending the meeting, there were also the representatives of functional departments of PPA.
At the meeting, Major General, Prof. Dr. Tran Minh Huong gave brief introduction about the history of the PPA and its development recently. The PPA President highlighted that the PPA is currently one of the largest training institutions for Police Force in Vietnam. The Academy provides variety training majors, in which Investigation and Criminal Police are identified as the important one.
According to the positive results of cooperation between the two sides so far, Mr. Huong suggested both two sides to continue to have more practical and effective cooperation activities such as: organizing training courses for local police in hot spot areas of human trafficking; creating opportunities for PPA’s officers and lecturers to attend conferences and workshops organized by other countries, especially UK about human trafficking; providing experts of cybercrimes, organized, transnational crimes, etc. to support PPA in term of researching of theory and practice on child sexual exploitation preventing and combating (via Internet and social network, etc.).

Mr. Regional Director expressed his pleasure to visit at the Academy. He also emphasized the desire to expand relationship with the Academy and they are ready to cooperate and exchange resources (including human resource and material resource) to fight against crimes.
