At the Conference, Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Yem mastered the main contents which were exchanged, discussed at the 70th National Public Security Conference recently organized on December 30^th - 31^st, 2014. Accordingly, the 70th National Public Security Conference was held to review the situation, the results of Public Security affairs and the movement “For national security” in 2014; summary 30 years of renovating the public security affairs (1986-2016) and a number of other important subjects; deploy the tasks of ensuring the security, order and launch the movement “For national security” in 2015. This very important Conference marked the glorious 70 years of building, fighting and development  of Public Security force; continued to reform, inherit and develop the experience of 69 Conferences of National Public Security as well as achievements, experience over 30 years of renovating the Public Security affairs.

Also at the Conference, Lt.Gen. Nguyen Xuan Yem mentioned five key issues of Public Security affairs that Minister Tran Dai Quang summarized at the 70th National Public Security Conference. Among them, President of the PPA emphasized the contents related to education and training activities of the Academy. Thereby, he suggested all officials, lecturers and employees to study 8 thematic reports of the Institute of Strategy and Public Security Science in order to raise the awareness of the current situation of country, especially of the Public Security force. For a number of subjects on Public Security affairs and the new legal documents, the President of the PPA required the functional units of the Academy to invite the reporters, experts to grasp thoroughly for all officers and students of the PPA. Lt.Gen. Nguyen Xuan Yem also recommended the functional units to advise and hold many new forms of education to strengthen the traditional education, political and ideological education, professional ethics, such as: inviting the reporters to report the serious criminal cases, etc.

On this occasion, leader of the PPA presented the Certificate of Merit awarded by the Minister of Public Security to Colonel, Prof.Dr. Tran Phuong Dat, Director of Scientific Research Management Department for his achievements in summarizing 30 years renovating the Public Security affairs (1986-2016).
