On November 10th, 2014,
the PPA in collaboration with the Department of High-tech Crime Prevention
organized the Scientific Conference "Preventing the high-tech crime - the issues
in training".
The Conference was co-chaired by
Major General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Nhat, Vice President of the PPA and Major
General, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hoa, Director of the Department of High-tech Crime
Prevention. The conference also had attendance and direction of Lieutenant
General, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of the PPA, leader of the Office
of MPS, X14, X15, H49; Leaders of the training institutions of MPS, of the
police department of provinces; representatives of banks and all students of
the High-tech Crime Prevention Faculty of the PPA.
This is the first scientific conference
discussing about the practical tasks of the fight and prevention of high-tech
crime as well as training the officers and lecturers in this field. At the conference,
leaders of the Department of High-tech Crime Prevention and the
related-professional units affirmed: the situation of the high-tech crime was
going on extremely complex and unpredictable which causes a lot of difficulties
and obstacles for the high-tech crime prevention police force.

Also, the
participants exchanged frankly, lively about the issues in training the professional
students and lecturers as well as further training the officers who are working
in the field of high-tech crime prevention. In particular, with the current
position of the only institution in the public security force which is training
the formal major of high-tech crime prevention as well as the centre on
training the high-quality officers, the High-tech Crime Prevention Faculty within
the PPA should coordinate closely with the related-professional units to
summarize the practical issues in order to draw the experiences for applying
back in the high-tech crime prevention.
The success of this conference created
a forum for the scientists, educators, educational managers, the practical
officers and leaders exchanged and shared the strategic directions in training students
for the high-tech crime prevention speciality. This is also the bridge to
connect the training institutions and the practical police units, in order to enhancing
the closely cooperation in training for improving the quality and capacity of
students, lecturers and officers specializing in the fight against the
high-tech crimes in the new situation.
