PPA welcomes visitation of delegation from Department of Foreign Relations - Ministry of Interior of France

At the meeting, Major General, Prof. Dr. Tran Minh Huong, President of the PPA expressed his greeting to the French delegation and introduced briefly the training and international cooperation activities of the PPA. In addition, he emphasized that the PPA had been prioritizing the training activities in specific areas such as transnational organized crime, cybercrime, forensic science, non-traditional security, etc.

The PPA President also expressed his appreciation to the cooperation between the Academy and the Embassy of French Republic in Hanoi as well as the French partners such as: volunteers in teaching French language at the PPA, the workshop on preventing counterfeit medications, practical reports, experience sharing presentations of the French Security Attaché at workshops, conferences and training courses at the PPA.

In the coming time, the PPA would be looking forward to further support and tightening cooperation from the Ministry of Interior of French Republic generally, the Embassy of France in Vietnam particularly in number of aspects: Sending French experts to the PPA in the fields of security, crime combat, French language; Inviting the PPA to send officers and lecturers to attend training courses in reinforcing personnel capacity in France; Organizing short-term training courses on topics of mutual interest.

On the occasion, on behalf of the French delegation, Ms. Sophie Hatt expressed her sincere thank to the PPA’s President for the warm welcome as well as her impression and pleasure to cooperate with the Academy in the police training.

In reply to the suggestion from the PPA, she would propose the PPA to have more information exchange with the Police Attaché of the French Embassy in Hanoi to discuss the feasibility of further cooperation of the two sides in specific activities. Regarding enhancing the capacity and the quality of lecturers and staff of the PPA, she emphasized that the Ministry of the Interior of French Republic was ready to support the PPA and suggested the Academy to create favorable conditions to organize foreign language training and select suitable candidates.

Taking this opportunity, Ms. Sophie Hatt would like to invite the PPA to pay an official visitation to the Department of Foreign Relations - Ministry of Home Affairs of the French Republic. The PPA’s President thanked for the invitation and gladly accepted.

Within the schedule of the French visitation at the PPA, the delegation also had a great time to visit the PPA’s campus and study police training activities and daily life of the students at the PPA.
