On September 12th, 2019, Mr. Mark Holton, Chief Immigration Officer of UK Immigration Enforcement visited the PPA on the occasion of starting his mission in Vietnam. Major General, Prof. Dr. Tran Minh Huong - President of the PPA presided at the meeting.
At the meeting, Major General Huong and Mr. Mark Holton reviewed the results of good cooperation between the PPA and the UK Immigration Enforcement in recent years.
In particular, the two agencies had regularly held the meetings and discussions on cooperation trends in crime prevention and fighting, officials and lecturers training. The two sides had effectively coordinated in compiling materials, textbooks, organizing training courses, exchanging experience in many areas, especially prevention and combat of trafficking in persons and illegal migration.
The practical cooperation between the two sides was contributing to improving the capacity of the officials in charge of human trafficking prevention of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in general and officials, lecturers and students of the PPA in particular. This relationship also helped to improve the effectiveness of cooperation between the UK and Vietnam in detecting, investigating and preventing crimes, the PPA President stated.
He also suggested the UK to support the PPA in the field of the transnational organized crime prevention, such as: human trafficking, forgery, high-tech crime and environmental crime.

Mr. Mark Holton expressed his glad to be working with the PPA and believed that the relationship between the two sides would continue to achieve more success in the coming time.
