The general working session

Under the theme “Promoting, deepening the police cooperation between China and ASEAN in the new situation”, there were 27 speeches and presentations ả the Forum. The Forum had the participation of 117 delegates who are the leaders and scholars of the police force of China and ASEAN countries. The delegates shared, in their presentation, the views on enhancing international cooperation in the fight against crime, especially in the border areas; shared the data and information systems on transnational crimes to support the police training and further tighten the security in the area.

The cultural exchange program by the host country

The Vietnamese MPS’s delegation actively participated in the activities of the Forum with the goodwill, solidarity and effective cooperation. In particular, Senior Colonel Pham Cong Nguyen - Head of the delegation chaired the 4th working session entitled “Prevention of Terrorism, Strengthening the Management of Border Area, Sharing Data on Transnational Crime” in the presence of 117 delegates of the Forum.

In addition, the Vietnamese delegation delivered two speeches on “The fight against trafficking in human beings in the Vietnam and China border area” and “Strengthening ASEAN - China Cooperation in responding to non-traditional security threats”. The speeches affirmed that Vietnam was ready to cooperate with ASEAN and China in addressing common challenges, on the basis of respect for the independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, non-interference in domestic affairs and in accordance with the provisions of international law. The presentation of the Vietnamese delegation was welcomed and deeply interested by the delegates.
