The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on November 8 organized a meeting to mark the Vietnam’s Law Day and review 5 years implementing the Law on Legal Popularization and Education within the Public Security Forces.
Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security chaired the event.
Over the past 5 years, the Vietnam’s Law Day (November 9, 2013 – 2018) has become a day to honour the Constitution and laws. The movement of respecting and following the Vietnamese laws was widely welcomed and well implemented across the Public Security Forces.
Speaking at the event, Minister To Lam asked all public security units to strictly and effectively implement Conclusion 04-KL/TW issued on April 19, 2011, by the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat on strengthening the leadership of the Party over law dissemination and education, and improving all cadres and people’s awareness of laws and law observance.
Minister To Lam presents Certificates of Merit to outstanding individuals and teams.
Minister Lam also asked public security agencies and units at all levels to continue their leadership and direction towards the law enforcement while enhancing popularization and education of newly promulgated policies and legal documents as well as disseminating draft laws to guide the public opinion in the right direction.
Minister To Lam also noted that every public officer should set an example in observing the laws and link their law observance with their political and ideological self-education, their self-improvement of moral conducts and lifestyle, their conformance of working regulations as well as their implementation of the movement of “Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh”, “Public security officers ready to sacrifice themselves for the country and serve the people” and “Building on the police’s manners of bravery, humanity and devotedness to the people”.
