On the 50th occasion of establishing diplomatic relations anniversary, 35th signing friendship treaty and cooperation between Vietnam and Laos anniversary, 67th traditional day of the People's Police of Viet Nam (19/8/1945 – 19/8/2012), highly delegation of Laos’s Security Ministry headed by Dr. Thoong Ban Seng A Phon, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, the Minister of Security Ministry worked and visited in Vietnam.

          Public Security Ministry held a solemn ceremony to commemorate special solidarity year between Vietnam-Laos.

          During the past 50 years, Police force of Vietnam has been upholding the solidarity spirit, together and side by side with Laos’s Security Ministry, has been constantly strengthening special fighting alliance and closely, synergistic fighting in the same trench to contribute greatly victory to the revolutions of Vietnam and Laos.

          Since 1962 founded the People's Police Department under the Central Police School, 1965 founded the People's Police Division directly under the Central Police School, in 1968 founded the People's Police University and is the People's Police Academy now, to day the People's Police Academy has trained for Laos about ten thousands police officers at primary school, high school, university graduate and postgraduate, fostered leadership and command. a lot of Lao’s alumnies of the PPA have matured, have been taking the responsibility of the Party, State and the People's Police force of Laos like Major General, Dr. Som Suc Sim Pha Vong, former Director of General Police in the Security Ministry of Laos, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Xieng Khoang, Colonel Dr. Thoong Lech Mang Lo Mech, Director of Police forces in province Luong frabang, Colonel Dr. Thoong Sa Van, Director of the provincial Police Department Xavanakhet, Major General Dr. Xom Vang Tham Ma Xit, Director of the People's Police Academy of Laos, etc.

          People's Police Academy with the Institutes of Public Security Ministry directly supported the Lao National Security Academy from the first days of establishment in 1995 and helped to build a complete graduate, post graduate textbook formings. Many new training majors such as traffic police, drug prevention and fight police, armed police, scientific techniques police, etc. of Laos’s PPA was founded with the help and support of the People's Police Academy of Vietnam. People's Police Academy of Security Ministry of Lao PDR established in 2010. Vietnamese People's Police Academy continued to support and assist friend Academy in the early founded days. And the most recently, when two countries have been celebrating two large ceremonies in 2012. People's Police Academy has been awarded Honorary Doctoral Degree for Dr. Thoong Ban Seng A Phon, Secretary of the People's Revolution Party Central of Laos, Minister of Security Ministry of Lao PDR.

          Mutual cooperation and assistance between Vietnam and Laos in the field of education and training in general, training for police forces of Laos in particular is an important factor not only strengthen the defense potential, security of the two countries but also foil any conspiracy, the tricks and against of imperialism and hostile forces; and contribute importantly to the innovation in each country.

          Evening 4-8-2012, at the student square of the People's Police Academy, ensemble of Security Ministry of Lao PDR organized a passionate exchange rellations night between the two nations. Directors of PPA welcomed, exchanged, reported to the Minister and highlydelegation of the Security Ministry of Laos.

Exchange cultural between Vietnam – Lao at People's Police Academy

          On the occasion of the 50th establishing diplomatic relations anniversary, 35th signing friendship treaty and cooperation between Vietnam and Laos anniversary, the Lao PDR has decided to award the first class Freedom Medal for Senior Lieutenant General Tran Dai Quang, Minister of Public Security Ministry, Senior Lieutenant General, Dang Van Hieu, Deputy Minister of Public Security Ministry of Vietnam, Freedom Medal Second Class was awarded for Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong, Lieutenant General To Lam, Lieutenant General Pham Quy Ngo, Lieutenant General Bui Quang Ben and Lieutenant General Tran Viet Tan, Deputy Minister of Public Security Ministry of Vietnam. Friendship Medal was awarded for 27 units and 25 individuals from the Ministry of Public Security Ministry of Vietnam, including the People's Police Academy. Major General Prof. Nguyen Xuan Yem, Director of PPA also was awarded Friendship Medal by Lao PDR.

          The great honor to PPA and PSA were awarded the First Class Labor Medal by Lao’s State, Culture I school of Public Security Ministry was awarded the Second Class Labor Medal. In the solemn ceremony of the Public Security Ministry celebrates two large ceremonies in 2012, Dr. Thoong Ban Seng A Phon, Secretary of the People's Revolution Party Central of Laos, Minister of Security Ministry of Lao PDR awarded for  Major General Prof. Dr Nguyen Xuan Yem, Director of  PPA 3 highly Medals as above.
