Happy New Year 2023’s Letter

      Dear comrades!

      On the occasion of the new year 2023 and welcoming the Tết Quý Mão (Lunar New Year 2023 -  the Year of the Cat), on behalf of the Central Party Committee of Public Security and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, I kindly extend my warm regards and best wishes for the new year 2023 to all commanders, officers, non-commissioned officers, cadets, and public security workers, contract workers in the People's Public Security; retired police officers, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, members of the fallen soldier's family of the People's Public Security; civilian guards who protect the streets, offices, businesses and their families.

      In 2022, under the leadership and direction of the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly and the Government; the close coordination and synergies of the People's Army Forces, central and local level party and state agencies; the support and assistance of the People and international friends, the People's Public Security force has united with a spirit of dynamism, creativity, determination to overcome all difficulties and challenges, to successfully and comprehensively fulfil all assigned tasks. The People's Public Security Force has always been an example, a pioneer in implementing the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress, the resolutions, directives and conclusions of the Central Committee; actively advised the Politburo to issue Resolution No. 12-NQ/TW, dated 16 March 2022 on building a truly clean, strong, regular, elite, and modern People's Public Security force that meets the requirements and tasks in the new situation and the Government's Scheme on developing the application of data on population, identification, electronic authentication data for national digital transformation in the 2022-2025 period, with a vision toward 2030. The People's Public Security Forces have proactively grasped, closely forecasted the situation, and promptly advised the Party and State on guidelines and strategic solutions to firmly protect national security, and ensure social order and safety; to maintain a peaceful and stable environment for the task of national development. The targets in the fight against crime set by the National Assembly have been achieved and exceeded; State management of security and order has achieved many innovations and breakthroughs. For the first time, the People's Public Security force participated in the United Nations Peacekeeping Operations. In daily work and in the front, there have been more and more good examples of officers and soldiers serving the Fatherland, serving the people, resolutely countering and suppressing criminals for a peaceful and happy life of the People which have been recognized and appreciated by the Party, State, People and international friends.

      Entering the new year 2023, besides the opportunities and advantages, there are still many difficulties and new challenges posed to the tasks of the People's Public Security force. In the new year, with a new emulation spirit, every officer and soldier of the People's Public Security needs to continue the heroic and glorious tradition, inherit the previous achievements, and strive to overcome all difficulties and challenges to complete assigned tasks, determine to successfully implement the goal of building a truly clean, strong, regular, elite and modern People's Public Security force; always worthy of the trust and love of the Party, State and People.
