New contribution of the thesis:

- The thesis has focused on some typical domestic and foreign projects that related to collecting, evaluating and examining mechanical trace in the process of road traffic accident investigation. Accordingly, the thesis has identified the issues that need to continue research and solve in the thesis.

- The thesis has analyzed clearly the theoretical issues of collecting, evaluating and examining mechanical trace in the process of road traffic accident investigation: The concept, legal basis, contents, methods, technical devices and coordinative relationships in collecting, evaluating and examining mechanical trace in the process of road traffic accident investigation.

- The thesis has explored the situation of collecting, evaluating and examining mechanical trace in the process of road traffic accident investigation of the forensic police from 2008 to June 2018. The thesis also drawled comments and evaluated the achieved results with limitations, shortcomings and the causes of limitations and shortcomings on collecting, evaluating and examining mechanical trace in the process of road traffic accident investigation of the forensic police. From that, the thesis developed synchronous feasible and practical solutions system to improve the efficiency of collecting, evaluating and examining mechanical trace in the process of road traffic accident investigation in the coming time.
