New contributions of the thesis:

1. The thesis has analyzed and clarified the awareness of murder and defendant in murder case: Concept, legal characteristics of murder; Concept, psychological characteristics of defendant in murder case. The thesis has also analyzed the theoretical issues about defendant interrogation in investigation of murder by the police force such as: Concept, characteristics, missions and sequence of conducting defendant interrogation; methods, tactics and coordination relationship in interrogation of defendant related to the murder case of the police force on investigation interrogation in the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

2. The thesis has surveyed the situation of the murder, the defendant in murdercase and the criminal characteristics of the murder. The thesis has also surveyed the situation, organization and implementation of defendant interrogation in the investigation of the murder case by the police force on investigation interrogation in the Lao People's Democratic Republic from 2009 to the end of the year 2017; pointed out the advantages and disadvantages of the defendant interrogation in murder investigation.

3. On the basis of the theory and practice of the defendant interrogation in the murder investigation, the thesis has made the scientific forecast and proposed solutions to enhance the effectiveness of the defendant interrogation in the murder investigation by the police force on investigation interrogation in the Lao People's Democratic Republic in the coming time.
