Opening ceremony of police training course on anti-environmental crime for Ministry of Public Security of Laos P.D.R

Attending the ceremony were Colonel Nguyen Sy, Deputy Director of Department of Anti-Environmental Crime of the MPS; Colonel KiengKham InPhengThaVong, Head Representative of Ministry of Public Security of Laos P.D.R in Vietnam. As for PPA were Major General, Assoc.Prof.Dr Pham Ngoc Ha, Vice President of the PPA and leaders of the functional divisions within the PPA.


The course will last in three months with participation of 10 Laos police officers. During the training course at the PPA, the trainees will focus on researching and exchanging the main contents of basic issues relating to the term of law on environmental protection, environmental technology, methods on dealing with environmental problems; basic professional activities on anti-environmental-crime police; activities of international cooperation on anti-environmental crime… All of the connective knowledge will be created by scientific methodology to recognize, assess, resolve the issues relating to current reality of crime prevention, especially environmental crime.

During the course, the trainees will be conducted by lecturers of the PPA’s police faculty of anti-environmental crime, the full-experienced scientists and leaders of the relevant departments, general department of the M.P.S. Besides, the PPA will hold seminars, workshops to discuss and exchange experiences in fighting environmental crime in the current situation in Vietnam, so that its help the Laos trainees to study and apply into the field of prevention on environmental crimes in Laos P.D.R.


Organizing regularly the training courses for the officials of Ministry of Public Security of Laos not only contributes to enhancing stability of socio-economy, politics, culture in the region as well as ensuring national security and social order and safety in Laos, but also actively strengthening friendship cooperation between the two countries in general and between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Ministry of Public Security of Laos in particular.
