PPA’s senior officials visit and work with Royal Police Academy of Cambodia

Attending the delegation were Major General Nguyen Trung Thanh, former Deputy Director General of the General Department of Buiding up Force, former President of the PPA and the leadership Representatives of the functional units within the PPA.

At the meeting between the PPA and the Royal Police Academy of Cambodia, both sides exchanged new development steps, shared gained achievements as well as outlined directions of increasing cooperation in the coming time.

On behalf of the Directorate of the Royal Police Academy of Cambodia, General Nop Vy, Vice President of the Police Academy of Cambodia reviewed results of cooperation process between the two Academies over the past years and confirmed the valuable supports of the PPA to the Royal Police Academy of Cambodia in training and enhancing capacity for officers and lectures. In the coming time, the Royal Police Academy of Cambodia hoped that the two Academies would continue to develop traditional friendship and cooperation.

Also, Senior Colonel Tran Minh Chat, Vice President of the PPA gave a brief introduction about developments of the PPA and appreciated efforts of officers and lectures of the Royal Police Academy of Cambodia in enhancing quality and effects of cooperation between the two Academies. He also confirmed that cooperation was indispensable requires, especially in age of regional and international integration as well as forming the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015.


The PPA’s delegation visited and worked with the General Department of Police, 

the Ministry of Interior of Cambodia

At the visiting to the General Department of Police - the Ministry of Interior of Cambodia, General Mao Chandara, Deputy Director General received formally the PPA delegation. During the working session between both sides, General Mao Chandara informed the PPA delegation about situation of social order and safety in the previous time, especially during the recent National Assembly Election of Cambodia in July 2013. He also proposed the PPA to support for the Cambodian students in training Vietnamese language to enhance more effectiveness of cooperation on crime prevention and suppression between police forces of the two countries.

On the occasion, Senior Colonel, Dr. Tran Minh Chat and the PPA delegation paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister cum Minister of Interior of Cambodia. Also, H.E. Sar Kheng sent the best regards to General Tran Dai Quang, Minister of Public Security of Vietnam.

In short, the working visits of PPA delegation to the Royal Police Academy of Cambodia and the General Department of Police of Cambodia contributed positively to maintaining and enhancing effectiveness of cooperation between the two Academies as well as the two police forces. Furthermore, the two Academies also affirmed great value of implemented cooperation activities and outlined effective directions of suitable cooperation in the coming time.
