On the evening of December 12th, 2017, PPA celebrated the Welcoming New year Festival 2018. Major General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of PPA attended and encouraged the program.
Attending the program were Colonel Le Van Long, Deputy Political Commissar of the Military University of Culture and Arts; representative of the Ministry of Public Security of Lao PDR; representatives of international organizations; other universities together with officers, teachers and students of the Academy.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Major General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of PPA asserted: "The welcoming New year Festival would contribute to creating an exciting atmosphere to welcome the New Year 2018; thereby creating conditions for the development and cooperative relations between PPA and military agencies and schools as well as international organizations which have supported the Academy in the recent years. This is also a chance for officers, lecturers and students throughout the Academy to know more about the customs and habits of countries around the world”.

At the program, teachers and students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages brought to the audiences the cultural and artistic features of many countries in the world. Each show not only showed talents of dancing, singing, using musical instruments but also expressed the foreign language skills of Vietnamese students.

New Year's Eve was an opportunity that brought audiences to the cultural space of Laos, Thailand, England, France, China, Korea, Russia... as well as a playground to consolidate the friendship between Vietnam and international friends.

The night of "Welcoming New year Festival 2018" is a meaningful gift that PPA wants to present to international friends and all officers, lecturers and students of the Academy in the end of 2017, thereby showing the spirit of initiative, ready to participate in integration, expanding relations with international friends of PPA.
