Attending the meeting was the H.E Assoc. Prof. Dr Pham Minh Chinh, Member of Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thanh, Member of Central Party Committee, Secretary of Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee; Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Nam, Deputy General Director of General Political Department; leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Departments under the MPS and other ministries, departments;  former teachers as leaders of the PPA through periods. On the side of the PPA, there were Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of the Academy; members of the Party Executive Committee, Board of Directors of the Academy, representatives of departments, divisions, centers and all officers, lecturers, employees and students of the PPA.

In his opening speech, Major General, Assoc. Prof. Dr Tran Minh Chat, Vice President of PPA emphasized: Over the past 50 years of construction and growth, PPA has constantly grown in all aspects. From the first day of only 43 officers and teachers, up to now, staffs and lecturers of the school have been continuously strengthened, the Academy’s officers has increased at over 1,300, including 10 professors, 44 associate professors, 188 doctors, more than 400 masters, nearly 200 master lecturers, 25 comrades were conferred People’s Teacher, Meritorious Teacher title. PPA has become a major scientific research center contributing to building police force in Vietnam.

Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the MPS, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Minh Chinh, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee congratulated and warmly praised dedication of officer and teacher generations of the PPA for the Cause of education and training. He asked, in the coming time, the PPA should focus on successful completion of following tasks: innovation, enhancement of educational management quality, strong innovation in content, programs and training methods; close combination of theory with practice; Teachers must thoroughly grasp and follow Ho Chi Minh President’s teaching, deserve to be pioneers in education and training front of the Public Security force, who giving inspiration to the People's Public Security students; more care and investment in training officers, lecturers and determining these as the most important breakthrough of higher education innovation currently; Continuing to compiling documents, new code curricula, improving effectiveness of the compilation and revision of teaching and learning materials; the Party, Board of Directors should continue to pay attention and encourage physical and spiritual life of the Academy’s officers, support and create favorable condition for young teachers and officers who had been in hard conditions.

Speaking at the meeting, Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President expressed sincere thanks and deep gratitude to the Central Party  Committee, Central Public Security Party Committee and leaders of the MPS, agencies inside and outside the Public Security Branch for their attention and support to the PPA in recent years. At the same time, the Academy would acquire these advices and put them into the Academy’s action programs in the near future with the aim building the PPA to become a national training institution of the Nation in 2019.

The delegates also attended the inauguration ceremony of the first phase and put into use the Center for Training and Professional Practice of the PPA - the venue for the practice, training courses. It contributes to connecting between theory and practice as well as giving students the chance to practical situations.

The Center for Training and Professional Practice has two floors with a total floor area of 1,875 m2, including 19 rooms designed with modern simulation; In the sector for training and practice, there is 01 aircraft TU - 134 to serve practice, training content prevention, terrorism… etc. Up to now, this Center is the first professional construction in the Public Security school.
