After 10 years of building and development, under the leadership of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors of the PPA, the Research Center for Criminology and Crime Investigation has made great progress in terms of capacity of officers, organizational structure, tasks and achievements.

After 10 years, more than 50 officers has worked and matured from the Research Center for Criminology and Crime Investigation, including 01 Major General, Prof. Dr., Vice President of the PPA; 01 Colonel, Prof. Dr., Director of Institute of Criminal Science, Permanent member of Council of National Defense -and Security of National Assembly; 01 Colonel, Assoc. Prof. Dr., Deputy Director of C50 Department of Ministry of Public Security. Many officers after moving to other units inside and outside the PPA have matured.

The significant development in many aspects not only confirms the role of a Center for Scientific Research on Crime, Crime Prevention and Criminal Investigation, but also enhances the position of the PPA - the leading training and scientific research institution of the Public Security force and the nation on crime prevention and suppression.

At the seminar, the delegates reviewed the building and development process of the the Research Center for Criminology and Crime Investigation, evaluated the achievements over the past 10 years, offer the suggestions to develop the field of Criminology and Criminal Science of the PPA in particular and of Vietnam in general.

The result of the seminar is the basis for the PPA and other training institutions in the Public Security force to consult, study and make recommendations and propose practical solutions to consolidate and enhance the works of scientific research and training the high-quality human resources to meet the requirements of crime prevention and suppression in Vietnam in the new situation.
