After offering flowers, incense to commemorate the great President Ho Chi Minh and former Ministers of Interior, Public Security,Comrade Nguyen Van Thanh - the Party Central Committee Member, Deputy Minister of  Public Security met the Academy officers, teachers and students. He graciously reminded them to continue learning, training and working together to obtain achievements in teaching, scientific research to make the PPA become a top-ranking training and scientific research institution of the police force in Vietnam, a national key university in 2018.

In his report to the Deputy Minister, the Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem - President of PPA  presented main points in the process of construction, growth and development direction of the PPA  in the coming time. Specifically: Over 48 years of construction, the PPA had been constantly growing. From primary, intermediate education system, today, the PPA had multidisciplinary police training function with undergraduate and postgraduate degrees; supported to train the team of leaders, commanders of the People's Police Force and the MPS ; train and retrain teachers, education managers for the People's Police schools and become a scientific research center of Vietnamese People's Public Security Force; cooperated in training with internal and external countries. Under the leadership of the Party Committee and Board of Directors over periods, the PPA  had overcome many difficulties and challenges, dared to think and do, leaded in the innovation of education content, program, teaching and learning methods, international cooperation, comprehensively enhanced training quality, to meet the requirements for human resources for purpose of crime prevention, national security and order and achieved many accomplishments in many aspects, including 5 highlights: Being an institution with the largest officer and student training scale in 19 Academies and People’s Public Security schools; being one of the schools with the highest entrance exam mark in public security schools; leading in education reform with the 02 mottos: Attaching training with fighting practice of the People's Police and strengthening international cooperation; leading the people’s police schools in training officers, lecturers as well as in primary construction, logistics to serve teaching and learning.

In addition to his congratulation on achievements the Institute has achieved in recent years, in his speech at the ceremony, Deputy Minister also emphasized that the Academy party committee, Board of Directors need to continue promoting their strengths, grasp thoroughly and successfully implement the association of education - training with political tasks and requirements for building the revolutionary, regular, skillful force, step by step advancing to a modern force; Closely incorporating between teaching, learning and scientific research, attaching theory with practice; Adopting scientific research activities, improving the qualifications of teaching staff; Focusing on building teaching staff and managers so that they actually set an example for students to follow, and each student must voluntarily practice, strive to become true People's Policeman in the future.

In response to the advice of Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh - the Party Central Committee Member, Deputy Minister of Public Security, the Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem – President of PPA sent his profound thanks to the Deputy Minister for his care to the police forces in general and the PPA  in particular, while confirmed his acquisition and thorough understanding of the Deputy Minister’s directions, constantly trying and improving quality to become a national key training center in 2018, contributing to building revolutionary, regular, skillful people’s force, step by step advancing to become a modern force that deserves the armed force hero title and the trust of the Party, State and the MPS.
