Towards the 70th anniversary of
Financial force in Public Security force (April 17th, 1946 - April 17th, 2016)
and 45th anniversary of the PPA’s establishment (May 15th, 1968- May 15th, 2016),
on March 28th, 2016, the Financial Division in collaboration with the advisory
units held the Financial units’ Football Tournament Open 2016.
Attending the opening ceremony were
Senior Colonel, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Minh Chat, Vice President of the PPA and
representatives of the functional units within the PPA.
The Financial units’ Football
Tournament Open 2016 had the participation of four teams including: Financial
Division; Logistic Division; coalition among the Center for Archives and
Library, the Projects Management Board and the Centre for Foreign Languages -
Computing; coalition between Refectories Management Division with the Medical
Center. The teams would play under the round-robin formula to pick out two
teams in the final. The tournament was held at the mini artificial football
turf of the PPA.

Speaking at the opening ceremony,
the Vice Director of the PPA Tran Minh Chat acknowledged the significant
contribution of the Financial Division for the development of the Academy in
recent years. He also praised the sporting spirit of the participating units
and required the teams to participate seriously and play with the noble spirit
of the sport.
Immediately after the opening
ceremony, the match between the Financial Division and the coalition of Refectories Management Division with the Medical Center
took place. With the cheers from the fans, the two teams played with cheerful
spirit, devote the nice football phases to fans.

The Financial units’ Football Tournament
Open 2016 was the practical activity of the financial sector to celebrate the
70th anniversary of Financial force in Public Security force and 45th
anniversary of the PPA’s establishment in order to promote the sport movement
of the Academy in general and the Financial Division in particular . The
tournament was not only the healthy playground, contributing to improving the
health of offiers but also the opportunity to tighten the solidarity among the
units in the PPA.
