On June 7, 2023, People's Police Academy (PPA) organized the Opening ceremony of the advanced training course on updating knowledge for police officers holding positions of Deputy-Command level or equivalent at ministerial level and provincial police departments. Attending the ceremony were Lieutenant General Hoang Duc Lung, Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel, Ministry of Public Security; leaders of functional divisions of the Department of Organization and Personnel and the Department of Training and Education, Ministry of Public Security; Senior Colonel, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Huyen, Vice President of the PPA; representatives of leaders of PPA’s divisions; leaders who are holding deputy-command positions at ministerial-level and provincial police departments, as participants of the course.

As planned, the course lasts for 8 days, from 7-15 June 2023 with 18 participants. The training program consists of 3 main parts: New issues in the field of politics and laws; New issues in leadership, management and building of the People's Public Security forces; New issues in professional police tasks. In addition, representatives of the leadership of departments inside and outside of People's Public Security forces, scientists and experts with high qualifications and experience will deliver lectures and presentations for the course.

Addressing at the ceremony, Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Tran Minh Huong, President of the PPA suggested that the lecturers and scientists involved in teaching should actively arrange their time according to the course’s schedule, having more discussions and sharing experiences to equip participants with updated knowledge to apply in their practice, and to lead and direct effectively the implementation of police tasks in local areas. The President of the PPA also encouraged participants to arrange their work reasonably, promote exemplary and positive attitudes, and try to overcome all difficulties so that the course would be successful.
