Participation of the ASEANAPOL delegation was Mrs. Adiah Bt.Othman, Assistant Commander Police, Director of Planning and Programmes and officials of ASEANAPOL Secretariat. Major General, Prof. Dr. Tran Minh Huong, President of the PPA, accompanied by leaders of PPA’s functional departments, welcomed the ASEANAPOL delegation. Attending the meeting, there were also representatives of Vietnamese Interpol office.

In the framework of cooperation with ASEAN countries, the PPA has successfully organized many scientific conferences and training courses for police officers and lecturers of police training institutions in the region such as: Training course on improving capacity of management, leadership and fighting against transnational crimes (JASPOC 19^th - Joint ASEAN Senior Police Office Course); Training course for law enforcement officials on coordination among ASEAN countries in ASEAN countries’ borders management, the 1st ASEAN Workshop for English Teachers of Police Training Institutions on sharing success and challenges in the design of ESP courses, etc. Accordingly, the international partners recognized the position as well as the performance of the PPA and would like to extend the cooperation with the Academy.

At the meeting, the President of the PPA expressed the willingness to cooperate with ASEANAPOL in promoting the cooperation with police agencies of ASEAN members in particular and international police agencies in general.

On behalf of the Secretariat of ASEANAPOL, Colonel Kenechanh Phommachak shared his impression on the development of the PPA. He also affirmed that the PPA would be one of the developmental police training institutions in the region, a trusted international cooperation partner in training and scientific research in the coming time.
