Receiving the grateful marble block from the D1 alumni, academic year 1975-1980
Sen. Lt. Gen, Assoc. Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of Central Party Committee - Deputy Minister of Public Security, along with the delegates, pulled the red silk to present the marble block to the PPA.

Attending the ceremony were Sen. Lt. Gen, Assoc Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Central Party Committee - Deputy Minister of Public Security, former D1 cadet at the People's Police School (now the People's Police Academy); comrades in the Party Committee and the Directorate; Representatives of D1 alumni and leaders of functional units of the Academy.

Over the past 50 years, the PPA has constantly grown and developed; generations of lecturers and students of the Academy has made the traditional glory board with many achievements, contributing greatly to the cause of education and training and the cause of national security protection, ensuring social order and safety. The PPA has been presented many noble awards and titles by the Party and the State; has been awarded the title of Hero of the People’s armed forces; is the key institution of the Ministry, and of the nation in the coming time.

Heading to the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the Academy (15/05/1968 - 15/05/2015), the D1 alumni (academic year 1975 - 1980) presented the marble block inscribed with the words "The People's Police Academy", which is located at the front of the Ho Chi Minh Square. This is a gift expressing the sentiments and gratitude of the first full-time undergraduate course of the People's Police School, now the People's Police Academy, which marks the milestone in the maturation and development of the Academy.

Speaking at the ceremony, Sen. Lt. Gen Nguyen Van Thanh hoped that with this meaningful gift, every officer, lecturer and student will have more faith, honor, pride and continue to strive, to be worthy of the Academy’s heroic tradition, following the former generations’ steps.
