This is a course organized to enhance national defense and security knowledge for officers and lecturers, who are working at the People's Police Academy, to update information and knowledge on national defense and security, state management over national defense and security, basic issues on national borders and protection of national border sovereignty, management and protection of Vietnamese sea sovereignty in the new context; This is the basis for the teaching and research at the Academy. In addition, the course is an opportunity for officers and lecturers to exchange experiences and teaching methods on the content of the program and to improve the effectiveness of education in national defense and security at the Academy.

Speaking at the Ceremony, Major General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Minh Chat, Vice President of the PPA emphasized that the cause of education together with the cause of building and defending the Fatherland is the common responsibility of the entire Party, the people and the whole army. Educating national defense and security knowledge is one of the important tasks in the revolutionary cause of our country. The Party, the State and the Ministry of Public Security have issued several guidelines to address this. Therefore, the purpose of the course is to update the new knowledge of national defense and security for officers and lecturers of the People's Police, which is necessary.

Vice President hoped that, after completing the course, the trainees will apply the knowledge in the teaching and scientific research in the Academy in the future.

At the end of the course, 100% of the trainees received a certificate of completion.
