Celebrating the 45th anniversary of the Linebacker II Victory, the 73rd anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army foundation, on the morning of December 23rd, the PPA in coordination with Thai Nguyen People’s Committee organized a volunteer program in Linh Thong commune and Lam Vy commune, Dinh Hoa district, Thai Nguyen province.

Attending the program, there was H.E Tran Quoc To - Member of Central Party Committee, Secretary of Thai Nguyen Party Committee; Mr. Vu Hong Bac - Deputy Secretary of Thai Nguyen Party Committee, Chairman of Thai Nguyen People's Committee; Representatives of the provincial police, the department of Fire Fighting and Prevention, and departments, unions of Thai Nguyen province and Dinh Hoa district.

Linh Thong Commune and Lam Vy Commune are two highland communes which were severely affected by the 6th and 7th storms, the people's life is still difficult.

The PPA organized medical examination and distributed medicine free of charge to 200 families under preferential treatment policy, families under difficult circumstances

Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Yem gave breeding cows to the people

With the desire to accompany and share difficulties with people here, the PPA in coordination with Thai Nguyen People’s Committee organized medical examination and distributed medicine free of charge to 200 families; offered 60 gifts, each worth 1 million VND; 100 bicycles for the students who overcome difficulties with the total value of 130 million VND; 100 helmets and 2 Learning Promotion Funds for 2 communes with the value of 30 million VND; gave 10 breeding cows to the families under preferential treatment policy, with the value of 180 million VND.

On this occasion, the delegation also directly visited and donated 100 million VND for 2 families in Linh Thong commune; Ms. Tran Thi Xuan’s family, Coc Mooc village and Mr. Nguyen Dinh Dieu’s family, Ban Trang village. These are families under particularly difficult circumstances.

At the ceremony, Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem - President of the PPA said: "The gifts given to ATK Dinh Hoa people, although the value is not much but filled with love. The sharing of officers and students of the PPA is the gratitude to the land of revolutionary tradition, which records many important historical events of the nation."

Mr. Luong Van Lanh - Secretary of Dinh Hoa district said: "Local people cherish the sentiment, the contribution of the volunteer delegation for giving many meaningful gifts that help to rise out of poverty, step by step create a stable life, build more beautiful Thai Nguyen homeland.”
