New contributions of the thesis: 
This thesis is systematically and comprehensively research of preventing robbery of passenger vehicle drivers according to the function of the Criminal Police Force in the Northern provinces. The new contributions of the thesis are summarized as followed: 

- The thesis analyses the theoretical background and legal framework for preventing robbery of passenger vehicle drivers according to the function of the Criminal Police Force. It includes: Overview of passenger vehicle, passenger vehicle driver, robbery of passenger vehicle drivers; concept, characteristics, legal basis, contents, methods of preventing robbery of passenger vehicle drivers; coordinating relations among other forces in preventing robbery of passenger vehicle drivers. 

- The thesis clarifies the situation and characteristics of robbery of passenger vehicle driver in Northern provinces such as: motivation, structure, danger level, personal characteristics, causes and conditions of the crime in the Northern provinces.

- The thesis surveys and assesses the operation of the Northern Criminal Police Force in the Northern provinces in preventing robbery of passenger vehicle drivers. It also identifies the achieved results, limitations of preventing robbery of passenger vehicle drivers, and explaining the causes of those limitations. 

- The thesis forecasts about factors influencing the prevention of robbery of passenger vehicle drivers in the Northern provinces in the next few year. Accordingly, the thesis proposes several solutions in order to enhance the efficiency of preventing robbery of passenger vehicle drivers in coming time.
