Final round of 5th Public Security Forces’ Regulations, Shooting and Martial Arts Competition in Northern region opens

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security and Head of the Competition Steering Committee, attended and delivered a keynote speech at the event.

The event also saw the presence of Mr. Bui Van Tinh, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Hoa Binh, and representatives of relevant units under the MPS and Hoa Binh Provincial Police Department.

The competition was organized in 2 rounds, of which the elimination round was participated in by 4,000 officers and soldiers in 87 teams.

After the first round, 12 outstanding teams were selected for the final round in Hoa Binh. They were Emulation Groupings 2 and 4, the People’s Public Security Academy and People’s Police Academy, and the Municipal/Provincial Police Departments of Hanoi, Hai Phong, Bac Ninh, Hoa Binh, Phu Tho, Ha Nam, Lao Cai and Thua Thien – Hue.

This competition is organized every 5 years, aiming to evaluate outcomes of public security units’ training in regulations, shooting and martial arts and promote sport, physical training, public security regulation training movements across the Public Security Forces, contributing to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the forces in protecting national security, ensuring public order and security.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh warmly welcomed the 12 teams participating in the final round of the competition in the Northern region.

He also asked the participating teams, the organizers and functional panels of the competition to uphold their sense of responsibility and strictly follow the regulations, and ensure safety during the competition, especially in martial arts and shooting categories.

After the opening ceremony, the teams competed in the public security regulation and martial arts. The final round will be ended later this afternoon.
