MPS hosts International Friendly Football Tournament

The opening ceremony saw the presence of Korean Ambassador and Consul-General to Vietnam Jeong Woo Jin, Police Attaché and Representative of the Korean National Police Agency in Hanoi Choi Jae Hoon, Australian Counsellor and Consul-General to Vietnam Yushen Cui, Lao Counsellor of Education and Culture Khamphanh Khamone, Deputy Head of the Lao MPS Representative Office in Vietnam Sakda Xayyasongkham, and Chief Security Officer of the US Embassy in Vietnam Alice Lookofsky.

Representatives from the Vietnamese MPS, including Director of the Foreign Relations Department Lieutenant General Dang Xuan Hong, Deputy Director of the People's Police Academy Senior Colonel Nguyen Dang Sau, Deputy Director of the People's Police Academy Senior Colonel Tran Hong Quang, also attended the event.


Lieutenant General Dang Xuan Hong presents flowers and souvenir flags to the teams participating in the tournament.

The football tournament was held in celebration of the 60th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People's Police Force, attracting the participation of eight teams from the Embassy of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, the US Embassy, the Australian Embassy in Hanoi as well as the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Office of the Vietnamese Police Investigation Agency, the Criminal Police Department and the People's Police Academy under the Vietnamese MPS.

In his speech, Lieutenant General Dang Xuan Hong, Director of the Department of Foreign Relations said that this is a great chance for the Vietnamese MPS and its foreign partners to tighten the friendship and mutual trust, contributing to promoting cooperation and relations between the Vietnam and foreign partners in controlling crime, maintaining security and social order.
