Indonesian Traffic Police Delegation pays working visit to PPA
Overview of the meeting

Major General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of the PPA presided over the meeting. Representatives of International Cooperation Division, Office of General Affairs, Department of Traffic Police on Road and Railways, Department of Waterway Police and Research Center for Traffic Safety also attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Major General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of the PPA introduced the PPA’s training model of traffic police, the criteria of lecturers of the traffic police specialty, and the scientific research results of the PPA contributing to ensuring the traffic safety in Vietnam.

The working visit of the Indonesian Traffic Police delegation was regarded as the opportunity to further promote the cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Indonesian National Police in general and between the PPA and the Indonesian Traffic Police in particular, the Vice President of the PPA said.

During the meeting, Representatives of the PPA’s Department of Traffic Police on Road and Railways, the Department of Waterway Police and the Research Center for Traffic Safety exchanged and shared their practical experiences in traffic management, driving license examination and grant, advisory on ensuring traffic safety in Vietnam. The Indonesian delegation shared information about the application of information technology, traffic accident database, smart traffic signal system which contributed to ensuring traffic safety in Indonesia.

At the end of the meeting, Brigadier General Halim Pagarra sincerely thanked the PPA for taking time to work with the delegation and affirmed that, in his position, he would make further efforts to promote the cooperation relationship between the Indonesian Traffic Police and the PPA.
