PPA pays gratitude on War Invalids - Martyrs’ Day

War Invalids - Martyrs’ Day is an important socio-political event with deep humanitarian significance. This is the occasion for the entire Party, the entire people and the entire armed forces to remember, to acknowledge the heroes, the fallen soldiers, the elite of the nation who bravely fought, laid down their lives for national independence; to show the deep gratitude to the war invalids for their contribution to the Cause of national liberation and unification, as well as in the Cause of building and defending the Fatherland and fulfilling the international obligations; to care about the wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, martyrs' families.

To honor the sacrifice and devotion of heroes, fallen soldiers, wounded soldiers, martyrs' families, people with meritorious services to the revolution, the PPA’s Directorate always pay attention to directing and doing well the paying debts of gratitude to families of war invalids, fallen soldiers and people with meritorious services.

From July 19th to 23rd, 2018, the PPA Youth Union participated in the grateful activities in Ha Tinh and Nghe An provinces. The program was held by the Standing Committee of the MPS’s Youth Union in collaboration with the Police Departments of Ha Tinh Province and Nghe An Province with view to pay gratitude for people with meritorious services to the revolution and families which are beneficiaries of state policies.

The PPA’s Youth Union coordinated with the Organizing Committee of the incense program at the relic of Dong Loc T-Junction, Tran Phu relic, Kim Lien relic, Tran Quoc Hoan relic, Truong Bon historical relic; provided complimentary medical examination and medicine to the pupils and members of the families who greatly contributed to the nation’s revolution; donated 10 sets of gift (each worth 1,000,000VND) for the poor students.

In addition, the PPA coordinated with the Organizing Board to transfer economic development support packages for 05 households in Do Luong district; commenced the construction of gratitude houses for former youth volunteers soldiers in My Son commune, Do Luong district; held the art program “Journey following the footsteps of the Heroes” in Ngoc Son commune, Do Luong district and the candle lighting ceremony at Vietnamese - Lao Martyr Cemetery in the evening of July 22nd, 2018.

On this occasion, the PPA visited, provided complimentary medical examination and medicine to the Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Hoa in Co Nhue 2 Ward, Bac Tu Liem District, Hanoi. The PPA also held the candle lighting ceremony at the Hanoi Martyrs Cemetery on July 26th, 2018.

On the morning of July 27th, 2018, representatives of the PPA mass organizations presented many practical gifts to the members who are the children of martyrs to motivate their spirit in the process of studying, working at the Academy.

At the same day, the PPA Directorate, leaders of functional units, mass organizations and excellent students held the incense ceremony to the heroes, fallen soldiers and revolutionary predecessors at the Mai Dich Cemetery in Hanoi. The PPA delegation expressed deep gratitude to the heroes, fallen soldiers who sacrificed themselves for independence and freedom of the nation.

This meaningful activity is an opportunity for the generations of officers, lecturers, employees and students of the PPA to look back at the glorious, heroic history; to remember the great merits of the heroes, fallen soldiers and revolutionary predecessors. At the same time, this activity also aims to educate and foster the revolutionary ideals, promote the patriotism, the spirit of pride and the responsibility of officers, lecturers and students.
