On July 17th, 2018, the PPA held the closing ceremony of basic Korean language course for Hanoi police force. This is part of the collaborative activities between the PPA and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). The course was taught by KOICA experts from May 21st to July 17th, 2018. Major General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of the PPA presided at the event.
Attending the closing ceremony were Mr. Kim Myung Ho, KOICA expert, lecturer of the course; leaders of units under Hanoi Police Department and 22 trainees, who are police officers of 3 districts namely: Cau Giay, Nam Tu Liem, Thanh Xuan. After 2 months of studying, the trainees were able to read and understand basic Korean language that could be applied into the practical works.
In order to ensure the quality of the course, the PPA coordinated with the experts to compile the basic Korean textbook which was incorporated contents related to the investigation, administrative management and the Korean Handbook for Police, including the specialized words, conversation patterns related to the work of the Police.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Major General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of the PPA emphasized the importance of foreign language for police officers. At the same time, the Vice President reminded the trainees to apply as much as they learnt to increase the efficiency of their works.
