On July 24th, 2020, the Ministry of Public Security hosted the International Friendly Football Tournament at the People’s Police Academy with the participation of by teams: the coalition team of Australian and British Embassy, Laos Embassy, U.S. Embassy in Viet Nam and the Department of Foreign Relations represented for MPS of Viet Nam.

At the Opening Ceremony, the Tournament welcomed the presences of international distinguished guests such as Mr. Vieng xay Dalaxen - the Minister Counsellor of the Laos Embassy in Viet Nam, Mr. Phay-vanh Xi-thi-chanh - Chief Representative of Lao Security Ministry in Viet Nam; Detective Superintendent Roger Brown - Senior Liaison Officer of the Australian Federal Police in Viet Nam; Mr Peter Vernon, NCA Lisaion Officer, British Embassy in Viet Nam; Mr. Patrick J.Harms – Head of Regional Security Office, U.S. Embassy in Viet Nam.

From the Ministry of Public Security of Viet Nam, the Tournament also welcomed the presences of Major General Nguyen Thanh Son - Director of Department of Foreign Relations, Chairman of the Organization Board; Major General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dac Hoan - Vice President of PPA; Senior Colonel, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Cong Nguyen - Vice President of PPA, leaders and officers of Department of Foreign Relations and PPA.

The tournament is seen as a practical activity in celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the People’s Public Security Forces (19 August 1945 – 19 August 2020) and the 15th Anniversary of the “All people protect national security” Movement (19 August 2005 – 19 August 2020).
