On March 03rd 2020, Major General Tran Minh Huong - President of PPA received a high-ranking delegation of Royal Police Academy of Thailand (RPCA) led by Lieutenant General Archawan Jotikasthira - Commissioner of RPCA.
At the meeting between the two sides, Mr. Tran Minh Huong highlighted the trustworthy and close relationship between the two institutions. He also highly appreciated the support from RPCA on providing high education for both PPA’s graduate and postgraduate since 2009. Mr. Huong recalled his recent visit to RPCA and thanked Thai colleagues for the warm welcome the PPA delegation at the Graduation Ceremony of RPCA on February 2020.
In return, Lieutenant General Archawan Jotikasthira thanked the PPA’s President for the warm welcoming and hospitality extended to the RPCA delegation. The RPCA’s Commissioner noted the two institutes’ close co-ordination in technical assistance, personnel training and experience sharing. He also expressed his belief that PPA and RPCA would continue working closely together to boost co-operation in science research and police training.
After the meeting, leaders of both sides discussed and agreed on the following contents: RPCA continue provides education service for cadets and postgraduate students of PPA; exchange training specialists on terrorism prevention, riot prevention, traditional martial arts of Vietnam and Thailand; the contents of the new Memorandum of Understanding; exchange short training courses/conferences/scientific seminars; and other contents could also be discussed in the future if needed.
