In the
framework of the project “Support to strengthen traffic police training in the
PPA and other police training institutions in Vietnam”, on September 21st,
2013, the PPA held the opening Ceremony on training course for driving specific patrol
motorcycles and patrol cars.
The opening Ceremony presided by Major, Dr. Le Huy Tri,
Deputy Director of Traffic Safety Research Center of the PPA. Attending the Ceremony
were Mr. Le Tran Viet, Deputy Chief of Safe Driving – Honda Vietnam, experts of
Honda Vietnam and 20 trainees who are police officers, lecturers of the PPA’s
faculties and officers of Traffic Police force attending the first training course.
The purposes of the training course for driving specific
patrol motorcycles and patrol cars are to increase the competence of the Traffic
Safety Research Center of the PPA in training in using large patrol motorcycles
and patrol cars for the Traffic Police force; improve knowledge, enhance skills
of driving specific patrol motorcycles and patrol cars as well as skills of
dealing with professional situations for the Traffic Police force.

According to the plan, there are two training courses, each
one lasts for 09 days. Participating the course, the trainees will be trained
basic driving skills such as: driving position, cornering skill, technique of
keeping balance, skill of tackling unexpected events, etc. by experts of Honda
Vietnam. On the other hand, they will be trained advanced skills namely:
technique of speeding up to pursue violated vehicles, skill of keeping distance
when pursuing violated vehicles, driving skill in an emergency, etc. by
officers of the Traffic Safety Research Center and Japanese experts.

Right after the opening Ceremony, the
Leaders of the Traffic Safety Research Center,
the experts of Honda Vietnam and the trainees of the first course carried out
the training plan.
