Prudential Vietnam awards 50 scholarships to PPA’s outstanding students overcoming difficulties

This is the 2nd time that the Prudential Company has funded such scholarship for the PPA students. Accordingly, 50 poor students who have the spirit of overcoming difficulties to study well will be awarded 50 scholarships, each worth 1 million VN dongs. This scholarship program not only aims to support partially funding for students in the learning activities, but also to commend their efforts of overcoming difficulties to gain excellent studying achievement.

 

At the scholarships awarding ceremony, 50 outstanding students of the PPA expressed their joy when they were honored to receive Prudence scholarships from the Prudential Life Insurance Company in Vietnam. Each of the students has a personal feeling, but to them, although the scholarships are not very much money, this is a source of tremendous spiritual motivation of  the Prudential Vietnam as well as the Directorate of the PPA to the disadvantaged students, encouraging them to constantly efforts in learning to become police officers who are both moral and professional.

Supporting education is one of the key tasks in the social activities of the Prudential Vietnam. In addition, for this Scholarship Program, the Prudential Vietnam has organized many programs to support education in the nationwide with hundreds of scholarships for students, such as scholarships for poor disabled students in Hanoi Capital, the Chevening Scholarships, Tran Van On Awards, Vo Truong Toan Awards, etc…

The Prudential Life Insurance Company in Vietnam, which is licensed to operate in Vietnam in October, 1999, is a completely owned subsidiary of UK-based Prudential plc. In addition, for the efforts of  business development, the Company has contributed a substantial budget for social activities, funded for community projects in the nationwide which was recognized by the Vietnamese Government. In 2011, the Prudential Vietnam established the Prudence Foundation in Vietnam which focuses on three main programs: Education and Training, Healthy Life Activity and Communities Support with a total budget of U.S.D 10 million for 5 years (from 2011 to 2015) with its desire to contribute further benefit for the lives of people through implementing and developing the meaningful charity activities.
