Attending the ceremony was Lieutenant General Bui Quang Ben, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Mr. Than Duc Nam, Vice Chairman of National Assembly Office; Mr. Tran Quoc To, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of Thai Nguyen province; Major General Ho Trong Ngu, Vice Chairman of the NA’s National Defense and Security Committee and leaders of the General Department, Department of the Ministry of Public Security; veteran teachers, Vietnamese heroic mothers; leaders of police training institutions; representatives of agencies, organizations inside and outside the country cooperating with the Academy. On the side of the PPA was Lieutenant General, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, Secretary of Party Committee, President of the Academy; members of Party Committee, the Directorate; former leaders of the Academy; leaders of the units as well as all officers, lecturers, employees and students of the Academy.

Speaking at the Ceremony, on behalf of the Party, State, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung warmly praised and congratulated the outstanding achievements as the noble rewards, the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces and the Ho Chi Minh Order that the generations of officers, lecturers and students of the Academy achieved during the previous time. To meet the missions and requirements of the new situation, the NA Chairman required the PPA to continue to renovate strongly and to follow, implement the Resolution of the Party Central Committee on “Radical and comprehensive renovation of education and training” and “Strategy for national building and defense in the new situation”; build the Academy that has the strong politics and organization; further improve the quality of education and training, scientific-technological research efficiency; associate the education and training with solving the practical problems; contribute to fulfill the advising role in the Party, the State, the Ministry of Public Security in strategic issues of national security and social order and safety.

The NA Chairman believed that with the glorious history and the significant achievements through over 46 years of development, each officer, lecturer and student of the PPA always was aware profoundly and implemented well the 6 things Uncle Ho taught to build the Academy to constantly develop and be worthy of trust of the Party, the State and the people.

On behalf of the Party Committee, the Directorate of the PPA, Lieutenant General, Prof.Dr Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of the Academy thanked the direction of the Chairman of the National Assembly and promised that these were the important missions and goals that the PPA need to focus on implementation and completion in the near future. The Academy were looking forward to the interest and guidance of the NA Chairman, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Education and Training in the way to become the key police training institution of the Public Security force and the State, the modern Police Academy in the ASEAN region. The President of the PPA also sent the deep gratitude to the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, the lecturers and partners inside and outside the country for the contribution of strength and wisdom for the development of Academy during the past 46 years.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the National Assembly pressed the button to launch the e-publishing of People's Police Magazine and planted tree in the campus of the PPA.
