Attending the Ceremony were Lieutenant General Bui Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security; members of the Party Committee and the Directorate of the PPA; leaders of faculties, departments and centers of the Academy and all of new bachelor of the 35th fulltime course. In particular, this was the first Graduation Ceremony of the PPA that all parents or relatives of students were invited to attend.

After 5 years of study and training at the PPA, all students of the 35th course were equipped with the specific knowledge of the Public Security force; basic knowledge on social sciences and humanities, Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh ideology as well as the directions, policies and laws of the Party and the State. In the process of education and training, the PPA was constantly renovating the teaching methods to create the most favorable conditions for students to practice, research, approach the reality in order to master the knowledge and handle with the arising issues between theory and practice. The students of the course were self-taught, built the scientific mentality, creativity, dynamism and created the foundation for improving the theoretical and practical level.

In particular, the 35th course was the first course that implemented the outcome standard of the PPA. After 5 years, 100% students reached the standards of politics, professional knowledge, informatics, martial arts, shooting and driving. 100% students met the graduation requirements, nearly 60% graduated at Good and Excellent level. This was the achievements of the 35th course in particular and the PPA in general after 46 years of development. These remarkable results contributed the high quality officers for the Public Security force and other law enforcement forces.

Speaking at the Ceremony, Lieutenant General Bui Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security warmly congratulated the new Bachelors, the new officers of the 35th fulltime course on successfully completing the curriculum at the PPA. The Deputy Minister of Public Security required the students to promote the equipped knowledge; be initiative, humble and learn from the comrades in order to constantly improve the work capacity; be calm, dynamic, creative and persevering to continue to learn, practice and strive to become the police officers who were sustainable on politics, good at profession, successfully completed the task of protecting the social safety and order in all situations.

For the education and training activities of the PPA, Lieutenant General Bui Van Thanh emphasized to build the “environment training of culture, knowledge, health and equality”. He required the Academy to focus on implementing the following contents:

- Continue to grasp thoroughly and implement strictly the resolutions and directives of the Party, the Government and the Ministry on education and training to develop the strategy for the graduate and postgraduate training of the Academy in the new situation.

- Be priority and create the best conditions to raise the quality of lecturers, textbook system and modern training technology; attracted a large number of experienced officers, the scientists inside and outside the Public Security force to involve in the education and training of the Academy in order to combine theory with practice.

- Coordinate with the General Department, Departments, Institutes, Training Institutions and the local Public Security Agencies to advise the leaders of Ministry on training strategy of the Public Security force. First of all, the Academy would become the key Training Institutions of the Ministry of Public Security in 2015 and of the State in 2020.

- Report the leaders of Ministry to consider strengthening gradually the infrastructure and equipment for the PPA according to the Project No.3 which was approved by Ministry of Public Security.

Also at the Ceremony, Lieutenant General, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of the PPA thanked the attention of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security to the work of education and training in general and the PPA in particular. The Academy would consider the directions of the Deputy Minister as the directives, tasks and objects that the PPA would pay the attention to implement and complete in the near future. With the motto “Tradition - Innovation - Dynamic - Development”, the PPA would promote the heroic tradition of the People's Armed Forces, continue to renovate comprehensively the education and training, strive to build the Academy to become the key training institution in 2020 and became the modern police training institution in the area. On behalf of the Party Committee and the Directorate of the Academy, Lieutenant General, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem congratulated all students of the 35th fulltime course were presented Bachelor’s Degree and appointed the rank in Public Security force, he also hopes that the students would continue to train to be worthy of “Heroic Academy”.
