- The thesis is the first research to systematically and comprehensively study the activities in preventing persons under 18 from committing nacortic related crimes based on the function of Police for narcotic crime Investigation of Hanoi Police Department.

- The thesis has summarized and analyzed to clarify the overview of preventing persons under 18 from committing nacortic related crimes based and pointed out the achievements as well as limitations of the related researches. On that basis, the PhD student identified issues that need to be further studied and clarified in the thesis.

- The thesis has clarified the concept of persons under 18 who committed nacortic related crimes, pointed out the characteristics of this group of persons and factors that impacted to persons under 18 who committed crimes.

- The thesis has established, supplemented and completed basic theoretical issues on preventing persons under 18 from committing nacortic related crimes, including: The concept, characteristics, content and methods of preventing persons under 18 from committing nacortic related crimes.

- The thesis has surveyed and assessed the characteristics of the relevant situation, including: Economic and social situation; criminal characteristics of narcotic related crimes committed by persons under 18; organization of Police for narcotic crime investigation of Hanoi Police Department.
