New contributions of the thesis:

1. The thesis is the first scientific work which comprehensively and systematizational researchs on armed protection in the prisons of the Ministry of Public Security.

2. The thesis builds, supplements, clarifies and contributes to the development of theories on armed protection in the prisons of the Ministry of Public Security, including: The concept, characteristics, roles; legal basis; content, requirements and methods; assignment, decentralization and coordination in armed protection in the prisons.

3. The thesis surveys, statistics, analyzes, assesses and produces research results on the situation relating to armed protection in the prisons of the Ministry of Public Security; the reality of armed protection in the prisons of the Ministry of Public Security from 2010 to June, 2019. Besides, the thesis points out the advantages, limitations and causes of these limitations of armed protection in the prisons of the Ministry of Public Security.

4. Based on the theory and practice of armed protection in the prisons of the Ministry of Public Security, the thesis provides forecasts and a system of scientific and feasible solutions in order to improve the effectiveness of armed protection in the prisons of the Ministry of Public Security; thereby contributing to ensuring the security and safety of the prison in any situation.
