New contributions of the thesis:
The thesis is a systematic and comprehensive research on the build and usage of special forces in the fight against drug-related crimes of the Border Guard in Vietnam - Laos border provinces with the following new points: 

1. The thesis develops the concept on the build and usage of special forces in the fight against drug-related crimes in the border area of the Border Guard, points out the characteristics of the construction and usage of special features in the fight against drug-related crimes in the border areas of the Border Guard; contributs to supplementing the theory of building and using special forces in the fight against drug-related crimes in border areas of the Border Guard.

2. Clarifying the relevant situation; activities of drug-related crimes in the Vietnam - Laos border area; the actual situation of building and using special forces in the fight against drug-related crimes in the border areas of the border guards in the border areas of Vietnam - Laos.

3. Clarifying the leadership and direction of commanders at all levels in the development and usage of special forces in the fight against drug-related crimes in border areas of the Border Guard.

4. The thesis predicts the situation of drug-related crimes in Vietnam - Laos border area; advantages and disadvantages affecting the build and usage of special forces in the fight against drug-related crimes by Border Guards in the border area of Vietnam - Laos in the coming time.

5. Proposing 06 solutions to contribute to improving the effectiveness of building and using special forces in the fight against drug-related crimes in border areas of the Border Guards of Vietnam - Laos border areas.
