New contributions of the thesis:

This thesis researches systematically and comprehensively the formation and the usage of undercover agent of the police force of Social Order Administrative Management in Crime Prevention in Vietnam’s Northern Coastal Provinces. The new contributions in this dissertation are highlighted as below: 

- This thesis is an in-depth, systematic research of the formation and the usage of undercover agent of the police force of Social Order Administrative Management in Crime Prevention in Vietnam’s Northern Coastal Provinces; clarifies some theoretical arguments in the formation and the usage of undercover agent of the police force of Social Order Administrative Management. 

- This thesis evaluates the situation, structure and development of law violation in general and  the violation in the field of state management on security and order in particular, from 2010 to June, 2020; the situation of formation and usage of undercover agent of the police force of Social Order Administrative Management in Crime Prevention in Vietnam’s Northern Coastal Provinces. Based on researches, this thesis identifies the differences among local police units in forming and using undercover agent. It is a new point that has not been specified in any other researches. Moreover, this thesis clarifies the achievements, challenges, limitations, shortcomings and its causes in the formation and the usage of undercover agent of the police force of Social Order Administrative Management in Crime Prevention in Vietnam’s Northern Coastal Provinces.

- Based on analysis, this thesis also makes some predictions of situations, problems related to social order circumstances in the northern coastal provinces and some other elements that impacts on the formation and usage of undercover agent in crime prevention. Additionally, this thesis proposes solutions to improve the effectiveness of the formation and the usage of undercover agent of the police force of Social Order Administrative Management in crime prevention.
