New contributions of the thesis:

1. The thesis is an in-depth, comprehensive and systematic scientific work on prevention and suppression of robbery using weapons. The thesis contributes to perfecting theories about professional reconnaissance activities on crime prevention in general and on robbery using weapons in particular. The thesis covers contents, methods, subjects and coordinated relationship in organizing professional activities to prevent and suppress robbery using weapons. The work also builds up these concepts: robbery with weapons and reconnaissance activities on prevention and suppression of robbery with weapons.

2. The thesis clarifies the distinctive criminological features of robbers using weapons, the characteristics of victims in robberies with weapons in the Northern provinces and cities in the recent years. This has helped the criminal police force correctly identify the characteristics of the offenders and the victims to take effective preventive measures.

3. The thesis has objectively evaluated the current situation of professional reconnaissance activities on prevention and suppression of robbery using weapons by the Criminal Police Force in Northern provinces, mentioned limitations and causes of limitations in organizing reconnaissance activities on preventing and suppressing robbery using weapons. The scientific conclusions of the thesis brings values to the police force in other provinces to study, apply, and propose plans to overcome the weaknesses and shortcomings in reconnaissance activities on prevention and suppression of robbery using of weapons. Basing on these, the author has built a system of solutions to improve the efficiency of reconnaissance activities on prevention and suppression of robbery using weapons by the criminal police force in northern provinces and cities in the coming time.
