In the framework
of the project “Enhancing traffic safety on the highways in the Northern Vietnam”, on January 11th, the PPA held a
closing ceremony of the training course on enforcement for traffic police.
Attending and chairing the ceremony was Major General, Prof.Dr Nguyen Xuan Yem, Director of the PPA, Director of the Project; Mr. Nguyen Tien Trong, Deputy General Director of the Project Management Board, the Ministry of Transport; Mr Inami, Head of Project Office “Enhancing traffic safety on the highways in the Northern Vietnam”, Mr. Takagi Michimasa, Head of Project Office "Strengthening capacity of training traffic police at the PPA and other police training units in Vietnam" funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA ).
The training program includes 9 courses, lasting between October 13th, 2012 and January 11th, 2013 with the participation of 420 traffic police from 10 Northern provinces and cities, among them, 41 officers are leaders of the units.
During the training course, the trainees were exchanged majors on traffic order and safety, enforcement skills and injured prevention skill for traffic police. Especially, they were also shared experience in enforcement skills of Japanese and American police, and practiced some situation on traffic-violence enforcement at some areas and ways.
