According to the Announcement of the 32nd ASEANAPOL Conference, the 3rd annual Conference on training Police Cooperation of ASEAN was held from January 4th to December 8th, 2012, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Attending the meeting were representatives from police academia and schools: the Royal Brunei Police; the National Police of Indonesia; the Royal Cambodian Police; the Laos people's Police; the Royal Malaysian Police; the national Police of the Philippines; the Singaporean Police, the Royal Thai Police and the Vietnamese people's Police.
Attending the meeting were representatives from the Embassy of Myanmar in Cambodia; the Secretariat of ASEANAPOL and the observers, dialogue partners, such as: the International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) Bangkok, Russian Federation training and Coaching Police Centre, the Embassy of the people's Republic of China, and the Embassy of Japan.
The Delegation of the PPA headed by Colonel, Associate Prof. Dr. Pham Ngoc Ha, Deputy Director of the PPA.
The subject of this conference: “Analysing Training Police Needs of the ASEAN countries”. Through discussion, the meeting agreed to give priority issues on training police cooperation in the coming time. Including: Preventing human-trafficking crime; high-tech crime; transnational crime; pharmacy-related crime. Exchanging training police programs in the ASEANAPOL; and training language as well as short-term courses on training culture of the ASEAN countries.
