People's Police Academy worked with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (Koica)

The meeting was also attended by Mr.Yi Jong Su, Deputy Chief Representative and the staff of KOICA Office in Hanoi; Colonel Dr.Tran Minh Chat, Deputy Director of the PPA and epresentative leaders of General administrative Office, Information and materials science textbook Center, project management Board.

          At the meeting, after the introduction speech of Director of the PPA about the working situation and development orientation in the future, as well as the desire to promote and expand cooperation between the People's Police Academy and KOICA Office in Vietnam. Mr.Kim In praised the achievements of the PPA has been achieved and expressed his belief that PPA will continue to make firmly progress in the future.

          Through the process of exchange and discussion, both parties confirmed the activities and cooperation program between the PPA and KOICA Office has developed in recent years, especially the volunteer program of KOICA to teach Taekwondo in the PPA has been implementing effectively. However, with the potential and development orientation of the PPA, KOICA may consider to expand co-operation and give support to the PPA in the future. After listening to the Academy exchanged on considering of KOICA to give support of building electronic library. and visited the facilities of the PPA including the 12-storey library has been being built, Mr. Kim In very impressed with the development of the PPA. He said KOICA support the idea and will expedite the evaluation and assessment of proposed project as well as reporting to the competent authorities of the Korea to consider and decide.

   
 Since 2008, KOICA has sent three martial arts volunteers to teach Taekondo in the PPA. In 2011, the People's Police Academy signed a Memorandum of Understanding to cooperate with the Korean National Police University (KNPU), two sides will exchange highly delegations and exchange 2 or 3 students to learn one semester annual.

          After the meeting, Mr. Kim In and the Leadership of the PPA visited Taekondo class was being directly taught by martial arts volunteers of KOICA. Mr. Kim In praised the efforts of volunteers and students of the PPA, He also recommended the PPA continued interest to support KOICA’s volunteers to complete the tasks and wished the students have good training to contribute to the fight against crime, social order and safety protection.
