Under the framework of the cooperative
program between the Ministry of Public Security and the Federal Bureau of
Investigation (FBI), the PPA and the International Cooperation Department - MPS
of Vietnam and the FBI of the USA co-organized a new training course on “Tactics
of testimony” for the investigators at the PPA from 22nd - 26th, July 2013.
In five days of training, 3
high-rank trainers of the FBI Academy shared their experiences in taking testimony, interrogating, and
tactics of testimony… for 40
investigators from the MPS of Vietnam and police units from some of the
provinces and cities. On 26th, July 2013, the training course was
concludes with participants who gained excellent results and were issued the
graduated Certification.

At the closing ceremony, on behalf
of the PPA’s leader, Major General, Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of the
Academy hoped that after the training course, the trainees would promote the
efficiency of the obtained knowledge in the process of work, to complete
assigned tasks. He also reiterated that international cooperation in the fight
against crime and professional training is one of the PPA’s major activities,
especially cooperating with the law enforcement agencies of the United States. He
highly appreciated the U.S Embassy in Hanoi’s cooperation and assistance over
the past years and hoped that through out the training course, Vietnamese
investigators not only learned more experiences from their colleagues and the U.S law enforcement agencies but also promoted the cooperative
relationship between the two countries.
The
US delegation also thanked the PPA for organizing the training course and
supporting the FBI’s trainers in their work during the training course.
Moreover, the FBI officers expected to have more cooperation chances with the
PPA in the coming time.
